Instructions

1

Let’s Start

Set the oven to 445F in preparation to bake the cauliflower bites and line a baking sheet with silicone or parchment paper.
2

Next

Make the Epis in a blender by combining together all of the ingredients for the Creamy Haitian Epis and slowly incorporating the grapeseed oil as you blend it together. Add the vegan mayonnaise in last and blend everything together until smooth and creamy. Set the Epis aside.
3

Next

Make the flour batter by combining all of the dry ingredients together first, seasoning, whisk, and then slowly incorporating the plant-based milk 1/2 cup at a time. Add more or less plant-based milk until the flour batter is smooth, lump free, and has the texture of a thick ranch.
4

Next

Add in 1/2 cup of the epis seasoning to the flour batter and mix it all together well.
5

Next

Season the gluten-free breadcrumbs with salt, pepper, thyme, and a small bit of smoked paprika.
6

Next

Chop the cauliflower into bite-size florets and dip the bites, one at a time in first the flour batter, then coat them all around in the seasoned breadcrumbs, and lay them spaced apart on the lined baking sheet.
7

Next

Bake the coated cauliflower at 435F for 20-25 minutes or until slightly golden brown and crispy all around. Flip them halfway through.
8

Next

Once the cauliflower is crispy and baked, remove them from the oven and fully dip, cover, and coat them in the Epis seasoning. Don’t leave them in the Epis for too long because they will start to get soggy.
9

Next

Air Fry the Epis covered cauliflower for 10-15 minutes or until crispy, and browned all around. If you are baking them then let them bake at 425F for 18-25 minutes or until they are crispy all around. Make sure to flip them halfway through.
10

Next

Serve the Baked Haitian Epis Cauliflower piled high on a plate with a sprinkle of plant based Parmesan, minced red pepper, and minced parsley for garnish.
11

Next

Sing your song. Do your dance. Speak your truth and enjoy the Haitian Epis Cauliflower!
