Why You Will Love This Vegan Chicken Breakfast Sandwich:

This Vegan Chicken Breakfast Sandwich is delicious and satisfying! It offers a balance of indulgent flavors and unique textures. The sandwich also provides protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates to keep you full and energized. Whether you’re vegan or not, it’s a great breakfast option to start your day off right.

About the Ingredients:

My Vegan Chicken Breakfast Sandwich has a few key ingredients that combine to make a hearty meal. The vegan croissant is flaky and buttery. And the vegan egg and cheese is packed with flavor and protein. You know the vegan chicken burger is crispy and adds a crave-worthy texture while the avocado and tomato slices are fresh and juicy, and provide healthy vitamins and minerals. These ingredients make a hearty breakfast for vegans or anyone looking for a tasty and healthy meal on the go!

Vegan Croissant

A vegan croissant is a pastry made without animal products like butter or eggs. Instead, it’s made using plant-based butter and non-dairy milk. It can be as flaky and buttery as traditional croissants.

Vegan croissants are perfect for vegans and people with dairy or egg allergies.

Vegan Egg

Vegan eggs are made from plant-based ingredients like mung beans, soy, and potato starch. My favorite kind comes in a liquid form and tastes and feels like traditional eggs. You can also make eggs out of chickpea flour!

It’s a good protein source and has less saturated fat than traditional eggs, which can be good for the heart. It’s also filled with vitamins and minerals like vitamin B12, iron, and calcium.

Vegan Cheese

Vegan cheese is a dairy-free substitute for regular cheese. It’s made from plant-based ingredients like nuts, soy, or coconut milk. It is often fortified with vitamins and minerals to mimic dairy cheese. Vegan cheese comes in various flavors and textures, from soft and creamy to firm and crumbly. This makes it a versatile ingredient for sandwiches, pizzas, and pasta dishes. In this recipe, it adds a savory and cheesy flavor to the vegan egg, creating this rich Vegan Chicken Breakfast Sandwich.

Since it’s plant-based, it’s lower in saturated fat and cholesterol than dairy cheese. This mean reduce the risk of heart disease and high cholesterol levels! Feel free to use vegan cheese in recipes like: Cheeseburger Egg Rolls and Pepperoni Pizza Dip.

Vegan Chicken Burger

A vegan chicken burger is a plant-based alternative to traditional chicken burgers made from soy, wheat or pea protein. It has a taste and texture extremely similar to real chicken but has no animal products in it. Vegan chicken burgers are popular among people who want to cut down on meat consumption but still want to sink their teeth into a special treat. Vegan chicken burgers also provide a good source of protein, and they can be used in various recipes, including this Vegan Chicken Breakfast Sandwich and my Vegan Chicken Parmesan.

Avocado

Avocado is often used in vegan recipes as a healthy fat. It adds a creamy and rich taste to dishes with its buttery texture and nutty flavor. It also helps add freshness and color to this savory sandwich.

Avocado is a great source of healthy fats, fiber, and vitamins C, K, and B6.

To make this Vegan Chicken Breakfast Sandwich, you need a baking sheet, parchment paper, skillet, knife, cutting board, and plate. You may also need a toaster or oven to toast the croissant. This recipe is simple and can be made with common kitchen tools.

Are the extra toppings necessary?

No, but you can add more if you want to! Other toppings like lettuce, fried onion, pickles, hot sauce, or vegan mayo can be added to tailor the sandwich to your personal taste. These toppings add texture, crunch, and flavor to the sandwich. However, the sandwich can still be tasty even without these extras!

You can serve many sides with this Vegan Chicken Breakfast Sandwich for a more complete meal. Examples are fresh fruit like sliced oranges or berries, a side salad, roasted or grilled vegetables, such as asparagus or potatoes, a warm bowl of oatmeal or a fresh smoothie. How long does this recipe last?

It’s best to eat the Vegan Chicken Breakfast Sandwich while it’s fresh and hot. If you have leftovers, store the components separately in the fridge for up to three days. You can reheat the vegan chicken burger, vegan egg, and cheese in a skillet or bake in the oven. Then, make a new sandwich with fresh avocado and tomato slices. The croissant might not be as flaky after being refrigerated, so it’s better to eat it fresh or bake it separately.
